Steven Miller was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and attended Harvard University, graduating summa cum laude in 1976 with a degree in Biology. He received his MD from the University of California, San Diego in 1980, and attended his internship at Mercy Hospital in San Diego. He completed a Radiology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Angiography and Interventional Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He became Section Chief of Angiography and Interventional Radiology for Newton-Wellesley Hospital in 1985, going on to become the Chairman of the Department of Radiology for Newton-Wellesley Hospital in 1996, where he continues to serve in that capacity.
